1. What is zk-KYC?

zk-KYC is a solution concept of know-your-customer (KYC) with strict adherence to AML/CTF rules while ensuring customer privacy. With zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) and wrapped tokens, an individual/entity need only verify their identity once with a trusted KYC provider off chain and then can prove to other third parties their identity on-chain without having to go through the trouble of repeatedly disclosing their relevant information.

1. What if I don’t complete KYC?

Portal Gate will only enable use by senders and receivers that have (1) completed KYC, (2) reside in permitted jurisdictions, and (3) otherwise meet PG's account opening criteria.

1. What do I do if I fail KYC?

You may fail KYC due to jurisdictional or other account opening criteria issues. When filling out your information, please ensure that all the information matches the legal files of yourself/your entity and that there are no typos. Typos may fail your account verification.
